STONEHAM — Chief James O’Connor reports that the Stoneham Police Department responded to a stabbing incident this morning.
On Wednesday, Nov. 8 at approximately 8:07 a.m. Stoneham Police responded to a residence in the area of San Jose Terrance. Upon arrival officers located two adult women suffering from stab wounds. Both women were transported to area hospitals with what are not believed to be life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, a third woman, was taken into custody without incident and transported to an area hospital as a precaution. The suspect is a relative of the victims. All parties were known to each other, and there is no additional danger to the community.
Chief O’Connor wishes to commend the responding officers for using their advanced training in responding to and investigating mental health emergencies and family violence incidents.
Under the Domestic Violence Act of 2014, no further information may be released.
